Aerofoil worked closely with our long-time partners, whom fitted out these premises for the end-customer. We specified, supplied and installed a faceted, white lacquered glass Alpa reception desk. The front features an LED strip lighting which highlight these striking details. Furthermore helping to add to the initial impression visitors get. Storagewall System Behind Reception Desk
We specified and installed linked storage-wall cupboards in the reception office, behind the reception area. As a result this ensured that there was ample capacity for hidden shelf filing and other storage.
Custom Designed Storage For Customer Hospitality
The customer had a very specific wish-list which included a hospitality storage solution for their visitors. Aerofoil Design’s detailed product knowledge and experience with this excellent storagewall product. This therefore enabled the creation and installation of this custom storage solution.
Below is an example of the glass-fronted, angled shelves for the display of food products, above an open storage unit housing special fridges for cold drinks and food.
The rear of the storage system offers lockable storage cupboards at the base, with drinks facilities, and additional shelving above. All the services were run through a void at the back, and into the floor and ceiling, consequently making a discrete installation.
Mobile Tilting Tables For Training & Conference Room
We specified tilt top, mobile tables for this project. These white tables help to create a clean looking, quality environment for the customer’s training activities, and meetings. Additionally when needs change, they can tilt the table tops and roll away the tables into a storage area. As a result being able to use whole room for standing functions and hospitality.
High Quality Office Interior Fit Out
Our partners are incredibly proud of this installation and the quality of their interior fit out is superb, with incredible attention to detail. The vertical wooden slats for example, were individually cut and fitted directly to the walls, rather than on the usual acoustic backing, which was a customer requirement.

Today we will take a look at one of the largest installations we’ve completed in recent years, undertaken in a few phases. Starting with the first floor in October 2019, continuing with the second floor early 2020 and finally reconfiguring some of the existing furniture on the third floor, as lockdown restrictions were eased and it was safe for our team to do so.
The design for this project evolved from an initial brief from the customer’s American architects and designers, based on plans from their other international offices. We interpreted this and presented several different product options. AJ took samples of the short-listed furniture to the site to showcase possible solutions for the customer and their architects to select from.
Assmann bench desks were chosen, which are electrically height adjustable, allowing the staff to alternate between sitting and standing to work. There were nearly 300 workstations installed, along with metal mobile pedestal drawer units fitted with bespoke seat cushions for those occasional visitors. The customer also evaluated 4 different office chairs before deciding on Wagner ergonomic seating. The vibrant colours for this project were based on the company’s corporate colours.
As well as furnishing the offices, the staff break-out room was also completed to the same high standard with a combination of dark grey café tables and metallic seating making the environment fresh and light, perfect for the staff to take time away from their desks.
The highlight of this job has to be the bespoke reception desk. We were sent an image of a similar desk from an overseas office, which the customer wanted to replicate here. Working with our specialist suppliers, we were able to provide this amazing, stylish reception desk, with a solid wood ‘surfboard’ counter top, created from multiple sections of different timbers. The users side features a height adjustable section and the reception front was completed with a wave design vinyl wrap to the architect’s design. A really spectacular image for visitors to be welcomed by when entering their building.
