New Reception Desk Installed After Close of Business

Aerofoil Design removed the existing built in timber reception desk at the end of business on a Friday night. We worked closely with Santone Carpets, who then lifted the existing flooring, repaired and screeded the floor before laying new carpet up to the edge of where the reception desk would end. This was marked on the floor the night before.

On the Saturday morning we returned to install and position the reception desk before 10am, before Santone returned to install the customer-side flooring.

This Fusion reception counter was designed by Aerofoil Design for the main reception of Rochester Orthodontics Surgery. It is produced in three sections, two of which are curved,

The cherry wood veneer panels are combined with silver painted mdf support panels, which are not visible from the front. This helps to keep the cost down.

Glass Shelf On Centre Section

Viewed from the inside of the reception desk, the fixed glass shelf is designed to allow easier interaction with patients whom might be shorter or disabled. At the same time, it provides a writing surface for the patients, yet keeps a barrier between them for the safety of the staff.

Glass Reception Counter

Viewed from the outside of the desk, the combination of glass and cherry veneer is very effective.

The carpet had been laid up to the edge of the desk, and a final floor treatment was laid to the patients side once we had completed.
